Kona Restaurant

The nation is currently in the grips of Royal wedding mania with the upcoming nuptials of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. And what better way to celebrate this regal occasion than to enjoy a Royal Afternoon Tea that will make you feel like a fairytale Prince and Princess.

Kona Restaurant, housed inside Taj 51 Buckingham Gate, which is a five-star hotel, has a sybaritic boutique style decor that exudes elegance and comfort. The restaurant epitomizes fine dining and the service on offer will make you feel like a VIP.

Afternoon Tea

The Majestic HRH Afternoon Tea will pamper your taste buds with indulgent and opulent patisseries and satisfy your palate with lavishly sumptuous savouries.

What also makes this a magnificent afternoon tea is the availability of Halal options, as it is quite rare to find high-end Halal afternoon tea. If you notify the restaurant in advance of your dietary requirements, they can offer halal chicken and of course substitute any alcohol based items with alternatives.

The variety of items on offer are actually quite generous, and would even challenge the most hearty of eaters, as we were induced into an enchantingly beautiful food coma and only awoken by “true love’s first…. of many cakes”.

We had a delightfully impressive time at Kona; let’s be honest, who doesn’t love to feel spoiled once in a while, and at Kona, that is the sensation you will experience the second you walk through the doors.

The HRH Afternoon Tea is available for a short period of time, so we highly recommend grabbing the experience while it is available.
