Bunny Chow is a small eatery specialising in South African fast food cuisine, consisting of a hollowed out loaf of bread filled with curry. It originated in the Durban Indian community. The picture shows the “Chakalaka Bunny”, which is spicy chicken and tomato sauce, with a refreshingly delicious coriander salsa salad. The spicy chicken was a bit too mild in flavour for our preference, yet every bite still provided a mouthful of joy. The concept, style and presentation of the food is exquisite. Thoroughly enjoyed eating from the “mess tin”, which gave a sense of eating while going camping. For a £5.00 dish, the food is surprisingly hearty and filling. Definitely worth a visit.
