My Old Dutch has gained a cult following with its globe trotting savoury pancake selection alongside their traditional sweet options. With such an extensive selection you’re spoilt for choice.
Shown below is their egg florentine savoury pancake with gooey cheesy droplets, a profusion of fresh spinach, perfectly cooked egg, crunchy red onions, a drizzle of more cheese and polished off with the subtle buttery pancake flavour coming through. Who knew this combination would work? At one point I was tempted to change my order but lo and behold, it may not be the most alluring visually but it tasted exemplary and far sur-passed my expectation.
With their jaw dropping larger than life plates, you certainly get your money’s worth.
Butterscotch panacake stack with caramel sauce and bananas. The pancake alone was heavenly, it honestly didn’t need any sauce to accompany it, but the sauce was delectable.
The hype around this place is warranted; there is certainly more to My Old Dutch than The Breakfast club, when it comes to their pancakes but perhaps that is my own predilection.
